Engineer (Entry Level)

Advanced Project Consulting has an immediate opening for a Engineer (Entry Level) to be located in Warner Robins, GA.

Engineer will provide sustaining engineering services to support mission requirements of the C-5 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program for Robins AFB GA. Directly provides technical contract support for the C-5 weapons system structural corrosion prevention and control and coating tasks. Coordinates with C-5 Corrosion Prevention and Control Program (CPCP) Manager and C-5 System Program Office (SPO) engineering while accomplishing aircraft validation of new processes. Provides engineering analysis, maintenance data analysis, technical expertise and recommendations required for the prevention and mitigation of corrosion related issues on C-5 aircraft.

Duties will include:

• Developing, analyzing, evaluating, and reviewing recommendations for the implementation of advanced corrosion prevention materials and methods for improving C-5 corrosion prevention and control
• Performing aircraft structural repair analysis
• Composing evaluation plans, final inspection reports, and revise engineering drawings
• Providing inputs for Record of Meeting Reports and Monthly Status Reports
• Traveling to C-5 field level units and/or contract facilities as required to participate in surveys, aircraft assessments, CPCP evaluations and provide technical recommendations
• Participating in the C-5 Corrosion Prevention Advisory Boards at local or designated locations and other Technical Interchange Meetings
• Ensuring inputs for required documentation are provided with accuracy and completeness
• Completing documentation for technical data updates and revisions

Will be expected to:

• Clearly and effectively communicate, both verbal and written
• Work independently and/or as part of a team
• Must have the ability to pass a background investigation, drug screen and government security investigation
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (from an accredited ABET educational institution) and 6 months of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • General knowledge of aircraft structures, familiarity with aircraft coating systems, and corrosion prevention processes, engineering requirements, technical data development, quality assurance.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
