UX Design Intern

As a User Experience Design Intern, will leverage experience and training to work with and learn from a world-class design team at PayPal. You should be passionate about design and creating experiences people love. You should have working knowledge of all facets of user experience design, including user research, interaction design, content design, visual design, accessibility, and design systems with a curiosity to learn and explore each area. You will work in a collaborative environment where different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. You will partner with team members across various disciplines including product, marketing, planning, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work on PayPal’s Design System team to help create scalable, accessible design patterns for PayPal product experiences worldwide
• Be the customer and work hard towards creating experiences customers will love
• Help create scalable designs for various customer segments, on a variety of form factors, and regions globally
• Work within existing style guides and patterns, while continuing to push the envelope for better experiences for our customers
• Use divergent and convergent thinking to explore many possible design solutions
• Provide design concepts that align to project goals
• Cleary articulate design decisions and confidently speak about the rational for design solutions
• Use design tools to help present designs to key stakeholders across all levels and disciplines
• Facilitate design discussions with clear and high-quality outputsJob Description:
Internship Requirements:
  • Solid attention to detail and craft
  • Passionate member of the design community, keeping up to date with the latest design trends across web and mobile platforms
  • Customer-focused, with understanding of design research methods to uncover customer insights
  • Convincing written and verbal communication skills
Education:
  • Working toward BA/BS degree in a design related domain such as architecture, industrial design, graphic design, Human Factors, HCI, Computer Science, Product Design, or Visual Design (or equivalent experience)
