Draftsman Internship

The Draftsman creates and/or revises current mechanical drawings, assembly drawings and schematics using SOLIDWORKS CAD software. Assists engineering team in new product development to create drawings, bill of materials, and other documentation necessary for manufacturing products.

·        Participate under limited supervision as a team member, or individually, to create and/or revise technical drawings, schematics, and assembly documentation for manufacturing products

·        Create detailed Bill of Materials for assembly drawings

·        Create 2D drawings from 3D models applying mechanical drafting standards (GD&T)

·        Communicate with internal and external customers to determine, define and document required changes

·        Create assembly and operating manuals

·        Ability to create and understand sheet metal drawings

·        Opportunity to apply theoretical concepts to real world applications

·        Improve efficiency in Solidworks part design, drawings, and assemblies

·        Meticulous details and analysis are critical

·        Strong teamwork skills and beneficial problem solving abilities

·        Spanish is a plus

Job Type: Internship (30+ hours per week)

Location: Miami, Florida

Required Education: 2nd year Mechanical Engineering student

·        Solidworks: 1-2 years

·        Mechanical knowledge: 1-2 years
