Electrical Design Engineer

The Electrical Engineer I will work on the design of components, assemblies, or vehicle systems, provide product design documentation through the creation of detail drawings, engineering lists and ECN’s. Integrate manufacturing input into the design of components, assemblies, or vehicle systems, and may participate in the support of manufacturing activities such as Pilot or 1st Production.
The successful Electrical Engineer I will have the following Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and develop components as required for lift truck vehicles. This activity must result in product which meets the requirements of HYG’s Product line Strategy groups and satisfies the customer’s needs for vehicle performance, durability, and reliability.
  • Provide design specification documentation as required to manufacture the product.
  • Develop product around the most efficient and cost effective manufacturing processes, and provide on site Engineering support during critical Manufacturing activities such as Pilot and 1st Production.
 The successful Electrical Engineer I will have the following Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering or proven ability if learned by other means
  • Basic knowledge/skill in CAD
  • Basic knowledge/skill in design layouts
  • Specialized knowledge/skill in engineering analysis
  • Component design and evaluation
  • Drawings, lists, BOM, and ECN complete
  • Part tolerances practical and cost effective
  • Part manufacture and cost effective
