Engineering Intern


POSITION SUMMARY: Automation is a goal of all manufacturers and Land O' Frost engineering and maintenance has been charting out our journey. Our intern will work with the Engineering Manager and Director of Engineering to lead the roll-out of a new automated production line within the plant. Alongside this, there are several other automation projects through our various locations that will provide a valuable experience for an Intern.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
§ Work closely with the Engineering team, Maintenance, and Plant Leadership as a key resource for the plant to the link between outside vendors, plant engineering, and maintenance departments.
§ Coordinate all aspects of the project including managing scope, schedule, and budget to deliver the project objectives
§ Assist in different areas of the facility with supervisors to help employees achieve goals by solving engineering problems in the manufacturing areas.
§ Complete a final project based on some or all of the above responsibilities.
§ Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Junior or Senior actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (IE, EE, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering) or related field
§ Minimum GPA of 3.0
§ Full-time availability from May to August
§ Interest in Food Industry
§ General project management skills of time management, communication skills, ability to work with and lead teams.
§ Database knowledge and excel skills may be helpful. Industrial Engineering coursework helpful but not required
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
