Kinetic Engineering is seeking smart, curious, entry-level and mid-level engineers with mechanical aptitude and great communication skills.

WE are a small engineering firm on the east coast of Florida, and we provide accident reconstruction and biomechanical consulting services to clients. We are busy and growing.

YOU will learn how to investigate a vehicle collision and explain how it happened. You are strong in math and reading, you enjoy hands-on work, and you can handle multiple tasks. You know how to keep track of time and details. You have a burning desire to problem-solve and you will go above and beyond to satisfy your own curiosity and your own standards of excellence.

As part of our team, you will:
  • Travel to and inspect accident scenes and vehicles
  • Collect and preserve evidence using high-tech equipment (drones, 3D laser scanners, digital cameras)
  • Extract event data ("black box" data) from vehicles
  • Analyze evidence to determine speeds, collision forces, and occupant kinematics
  • Utilize tools that include simulation programs, 3-D modeling, and photogrammetry
  • Present your analysis and findings visually in CAD drawings, 3D animations, and slides
  • Research and test accident reconstruction methods and technologies
  • Develop your public speaking skills to interact with clients

 Requirements include:
  • Strong desire to learn and advance as an engineer and a problem-solver
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, or automotive engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
  • Proficiency in CAD, MathCAD, and MS Office
  • Mechanical aptitude and/or understanding of automotive mechanics (preferred)
  • Competence with digital photography
  • Experience with simulations or 3-D modeling (preferred)
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and to work outdoors in the hot Florida climate
  • Clean driving record, as you will be responsible for driving company vehicles

You may travel within three hours' driving distance at least twice a week, with some overnight stays. A clean driving record is required.
