Customer Service Representative - Manufacturing/Engineering

HOERBIGER Corporation of America (HCA) is seeking a Customer Service Representative for our manufacturing plant in Pompano Beach. HCA, part of the global HOERGIBER Compression Technology Group, is a dynamic manufacturer of OEM precision compressor valves and components.

The Customer Service Representative supports business-to-business manufacturing sales. The CSR works as a liaison between the Customer and the organization, assists and organizes activities throughout operations (engineering and production) to support the Customer and the Sales team, and executes all order entry and quotation activities. Full Time, Weekdays

What you will learn:
·       Understanding Drawings and Dimensional Information
·       Product knowledge including: Compressor Valves, Rings and Packing, Serial industrial product
·       Manufacturing Lead Time requirements for Product Groups
·       Software such as SAP, Sales Force, Factory Viewer Manufacturing software
·       Transportation, Export and Trade compliance

Qualifications

  • Two years B2B customer service experience (via phone/text or chat/email)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Strong computer skills. Must be able to quickly learn multiple software programs and using internet portals. Proficient with Internet navigation, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Engineering curriculum preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues regarding highly detailed technical information both verbally and in writing (email/text). Must speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and seek clarification; respond well to questions. Must write clearly and informatively; read and interpret written information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicates effectively with customers regarding status and details of orders. Supports and actively solicits new or additional business.
  • Creates, edits, and acknowledges sales orders both manually and via electronic portals. Identifies special customer requirements and communicates them to the Operations team, as well as adjusts addresses, routes, and other order specific account information.
  • Checks order status and provides proactive feedback or expedites as needed. Monitors, releases, and follows up on individual deliveries and invoices. Organizes transportation if necessary.
  • Creates, edits, and acknowledges quotations both manually and via electronic portals. Creates, edits, and maintains list, target, customer, currency, and deviated pricing. Converts existing quotations into sales orders and can create or extend a quotation part number.
  • Creates, edits, and maintains customer and part specific master data including customer part number cross references, lead times, sales data, routes, schedules, and contact information.
  • Understands and reacts to customer complaints. Organizes returns, credit, or replacement orders to resolve to customer satisfaction,
  • Ensures export and trade compliance.
