Traffic Design Intern
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to senior professional engineers and technical staff.
- Development of collision diagrams and high level concept plans using MicroStation.
- Development of recommendations related to safety and traffic design items to assist with plans and project development.
- Utilize existing conditions data to design and prepare plans under the responsible charge of a senior professional engineer or project manager.
- Assist with preparation of concept plans, feasibility reports, traffic analysis studies, plans, and specifications.
- Be familiar with Florida Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures and apply those to work products.
Requirements
- High School Graduate actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree.
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and problem solve.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work for any employer in the United States.
