Winter Co-op/Equipment and Process Engineering

Description of Department:

The packaging value stream in Marietta, PA performs secondary and tertiary packaging of vials and syringes of Vaccines. The department has three packaging lines. The technical department in packaging currently has 3 engineers and 6 technicians that support the operation including execution of all CAPEX and continuous improvement projects in addition to assisting with advance troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production and quality issues.

Job Description:

The packaging value stream will be executing some exciting projects to further automate the packaging processes. The engineering coop will work along side our experienced engineers to install and qualify new equipment such as an automated case packer and palletizer and robotics to automatically feed components onto the packaging line.
In addition, the engineering coop will help prepare the packaging lines to run new formats and products. As part of this work the engineering coop will help author and execute testing documentation in addition to coordinate vendors and troubleshoot issues as they arise. This opportunity will provide valuable hands on experience to work with contractors and a cross functional team to deliver these projects on time and in budget.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a BS degree in one of the following engineering fields: Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing/Technology, Electrical or Automation
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the 6-month co-op.
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.
  • Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
