Industrial Engineer

Foot Locker, Inc., a leading global retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel is recruiting for an Industrial Engineer to support the Process Improvement team the Junction City, KS distribution center. This critical position performs time studies, builds and maintains standards in Maynard Operations Sequence Technique (MOST), and makes updates and changes as needed in LM (Labor Management). In addition, this role helps maintain building layouts in AutoCAD. 
 
Foot Locker, Inc. and the Junction City distribution center have many engaging projects involving our industrial engineers. This incumbent would be tasked to work collaboratively with the Process Improvement team along with members of building management to ensure success implementation of these ongoing projects and to identify future opportunities for improvement.

*Candidates for this role must be willing to work at our Junction City, Kansas Distribution Center.*
 

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in oral and written communications
  • Maintain standards in Maynard Operations Sequence Technique (MOST) and validate with time studies
  • Configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of Manhattan Associates Labor Management
  • Develop AutoCAD layouts for projects and maintain building layouts in AutoCAD
  • Project Management and consulting services for supply chain strategic initiatives
  • Find opportunities, develop solutions, and implement cost saving initiatives
  • Prepare process/cost analysis
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive, professional image and behavior to all Associates, Supervisors and Managers
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Utilize SQL to query data and perform data analysis
 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
  • MS Excel and Word skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of basic Industrial Engineering concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate Degree and relevant Internship experience
  • Understanding of Maynard Operations Sequence Technique (MOST) or other similar time study methods (EASE, MTM, Master Standard Data)
  • Experience with CAD software
