E-Mobility Technical Lead, North America

Transportation electrification is a growing global megatrend driven by regulation, customer demand and technology development. These strong drivers are expected to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles at various pace per market. But our customers needs will change - so we need to change. To meet opportunities associated with large scale transition to electrical mobility we are launching Circle K Charge in North America. We will plan, deploy and operate a network of Circle K fast charges, deploying charging capabilities across out network 
We are now hiring the lead for operations!

POSITION SUMMARY:
The E Mobility Technical Lead will be the technical expert, and have overall responsibility for the charging hardware configuration in the Circle K Charge ecosystem – ranging from utility connection to customer facing payment solutions – and everything in between. In this role, you will be part of a global team of specialist responsible for product development, business technology and operations in the electric vehicle value chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for market insight, understanding trends, market development, players and technical solutions in the e-mobility space.
  • Establish default hardware/software configurations for CK Charge deployments and template site layouts.
  • Select vendors and negotiate with vendors for procurement of hardware and other needs within EV space.  Develop technical standards, manage technical documentation and test, assess and recommend various charger hardware and solutions.
  • Establish default hardware/software configurations for CK Charge deployments and template site layouts.
  • Responsible for project management and oversight of E-mobility projects and supporting Business Units in their project execution related to deployment of chargers to store locations.  This will include network planning and site layout, development of applications to support and commissioning and start up of the charging facilities.
  • Perform cost analysis to optimize investments and operations.
  • Support training of store staff and mutual learning within the E-mobility community.
  • Take part in developing a new team and business area.
  • General support and advisory to Circle K Business Units in Europe and US/Canada in developing the E-mobility business.
  • Other relevant tasks within E-mobility and public charging in order to improve products or operation.

Requirements

  • BA or MSc in engineering or similar
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Engineering/technical background, electrical engineering is a plus
  • Knowledge in electric mobility and new technology, experience within charger deployment is a plus
  • Proven project management experience
  • An organized and result oriented way of working
  • Experience with MS Office and other project/operational IT tools
  • The will and motivation to take part in building a new business in a fast-moving environment
  • Team player with good communication skills who has ability to interact across all level in the company
  • High HSE and ethics standards
  • Ability for some traveling, domestic and international
