Fall 2022 Plant Quality Engineering
Objective of job
This position will be responsible for assisting the Plant Quality Engineering group in all projects resulting in optimizing safety, quality, and productivity of any and all carlines.
Fall Rotation: August 15 - December 16, 2022
Principal activities:
- Provide support for day to day operations of quality department.
- Identify and implement process improvements to production areas as well as other plant procedures and processes.
- Reporting of various KPI and internal procedures for plant quality.
- Assists team in defining and implementing corrective actions aimed at improving product quality, and process performance.
- Assist in team development of inspection plans, testing methods, vital product characteristics, measurement routines and validation procedures.
- Work with team to reduce scrap and lower manufacturing costs in production areas.
- Assists and/or leads team through problem solving process for quality issues and concerns originating from external customers as well as internal processes.
- Responsible for data collection used for Statistical Process Control and reporting and analysis of results.
- Responsible to track and coordinate continuous improvement activities.
- Manage various plant level projects.
- Completion of LSS Yellow Belt Certification and project
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in progress within the field of ME or IE
- Completed three semesters towards degree
- Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Able to work in the US indefinitely and without restrictions
