Maintenance Services - Fill & Finish/Packaging, Supervisor

Position Purpose: 

Supervises the planning, scheduling, and completion of all maintenance activities performed in assigned areas to ensure maximum uptime of equipment. Oversees the activities of the technicians assigned to work areas in accordance with company, state, and federal agency guidelines. Maintains planned work schedules and handles emergency work resulting from rendering of required services. Manages work order system within area of responsibility; ensures necessary inventories of equipment and supplies are available.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Supervise the operations and maintenance activities of facility. Ensure work order documentation is completed accurately and completely. Identify waste, workflow interrupters, and other opportunities for improvement, recommend solutions, and assisting with implementation.
  • Ensures GMP activities for assigned Operations function in accordance with company policies, approved cGMP procedures and are documented according to cGMP requirements. Ensure work is completed in accordance with procedures
  • Improve the right first time execution. Assist with meeting training needs and developing overall programs to upgrade operating and maintenance skills and effectiveness
  • Support investigations and ensures that corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA) are managed and closed according to procedures.
  • Ensure work activities are completed correctly. Ensures that manufacturing facilities, equipment, processes, and procedures are compliant with cGMP requirements and/or other applicable regulations. Support to meet all the metrics established in department.

  • Complies with requirements from CSL Behring’s Safety Program, including Health and Safety mandates and OSHA requirements.
  • Develop and manage the preventive and/or predictive maintenance program and take part in continuous improvement activities
  • Responsible for handing out disciplinary action when required.
  • Completes any other duties/responsibilities assigned by senior management.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field preferred, but not required
  • 8+ years' experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility

Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience with a represented union workforce is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing facility strongly desired.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Desktop Systems a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with good interpersonal skills
