Engineering Intern
Camarillo, CA
Part-Time/Full-Time; Non-Exempt (Hourly) 
Minimum Hours: 20 – 29 Hours/Week
Reports To: Director of Engineering

The intern will gain experience in: 
  • Designing, fabricating, and assembling new or modified tooling for aircraft components
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents such as specifications, bills of materials, and drawings
  • Ability to reverse engineer components, tooling and fixtures designed for disassembling, inspection, and assembling of aircraft components
  • Ability to write technical documentation for tooling, fixtures and equipment

Qualifications:
  • Interest and enthusiasm in the aerospace industry and in legacy aircraft
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to design workflows and procedures
  • Be able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely to non-technical individuals
  • Good teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and other activities
  • Good presentation and writing/communication skills
  • Capable to work in an autonomous work environment on projects
  • Capable to work on engineering projects from project inception through launch

Requirements: 
A candidate must meet all of the below criteria:
  • Must be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and graduating after August 2022
  • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or other closely related fields
  • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by U.S. Export Laws - i.e. a U.S. Citizen or hold U.S. Permanent Residency or Resident Alien status
  • Possess basic mechanical and/or manufacturing skills
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications is a plus
