Summer Internship for a Civil Engineer position
Work focus consist of site development designs
JADE Consulting, LLC provides development engineering services with a licensed Engineer in the states of Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Our areas of expertise include general Civil Engineering, Municipal Engineering, Storm Water Management, Water and Sewer Utility Planning and Design, Transportation Consulting, Highway Design, Subdivision and Site Development Engineering, Construction Inspection and Surveillance, and Master Planning Services. Our staff has also served the engineering, and design needs of Developers, State, County and local Government Agencies, Industry Contractors and individuals on projects of varying size and complexity. We are conscientious in our efforts to produce exceptional products in a timely manner while maintaining a cost-effective project.

Work Conditions:

- AutoCAD Civil 3D - training available
- Intern will provide support to the Senior Design Engineers & Engineer I
- Team Work Environment
Knowledge / Experience / Requirements:
(Due to this position being an internship these are not required)
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineer, or related field, or equivalent experience in a related area of practice
- AutoCAD Civil 3D in civil engineering and/or land development projects
Summary of Duties / Responsibilities for Civil Engineering Intern includes but is not limited to:
- Produce complete and accurate design drawings
- Deliver quality Customer Service to both External & Internal Customers
- Perform tasks in a team environment as an Design team member
- Handle day to day engineering related enquires
- Undertake Engineering investigations, designs and work projects
- Utilize computer software system - AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Learn and apply new or upgraded software
- Undertake relief duties of other Team members as required
- Participate in multi-skilling tasks
- Interact and communicate with responsible engineer and project team
- Manage and archive project files properly
- Initialize projects in AutoCAD, utilize survey to create the base drawing, complete appropriate project sheets and design elements such as site and horizontal control plans; paving, grading, and drainage plans; utility plan and profiles; roadway plan and profiles; notes; etc.
- Complete project AutoCAD work within deadlines
- Conduct Hydrology Studies
