Digital ASIC/FPGA

We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic students to help us design, test, and support our next generation of ASICs. The position will be tailored to the student’s previous experience, strengths, and expertise.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • RTL design and verification of digital blocks, cores, and subsystems for ASIC products and FPGA-based validation. This will require gaining in-depth knowledge of many communications standards from ITU-T Study Group 15, IEEE 802.3, and OIF, as well as understanding system wide concepts.
  • Work as a team member that is responsible for the design and verification of complex digital blocks and subsystems.
  • Create functional verification plans from industry standards, datasheets, and inputs from peer engineering teams.
  • Implement and verify digital designs using System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Create functional specifications, datasheets, and other documentation.
  • Work as a team member to identify and close bugs early and efficiently.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of methodology and techniques as necessary.

Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Pursuit of a degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using System Verilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
  • Experience in ASIC or FPGA design.
  • Strong organizational and written skills.
  • Initiative, enthusiasm, and an eagerness to learn.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have Skills:
  • Strong understanding of OTN and other networking standards, specifications, and methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in systems level requirements, specifications, and architectural tradeoff analysis.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux environment.
