AIS Radio Frequency Engineering Internship

 
Job Title: Skyworks AIS Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering Summer 2023 Intern
 
About the Business Unit
Skyworks AIS develops and markets radio and audio chips to serve the wireless gaming and wireless audio markets. 
 
Position Summary 
Skyworks AIS is seeking internship candidates to support evaluation and characterization of its newest generation of advanced radio ICs. This testing is critical to understanding the performance tradeoffs of various configurations of the radio present. Work in a state of the art laboratory environment with experienced radio, IC and embedded systems engineers to discover how best to configure the company’s products for specific needs and markets. 
 
Responsibilities 
Gather engineering performance data in both laboratory and real-world environments. Analyze and format the data for better understanding and decision making by the larger RF IC and RF Applications teams. 
Modify evaluation hardware and customer products both electrically and by custom Firmware
Use firmware / coding skills to customize radio configurations and test system code
Document results and observations for both internal and external customers
 
Qualification and Education Requirements
Candidates will have completed at least 2 years of a 4-year electrical engineering curriculum or 3 years of an electrical engineering technology curriculum. Candidates must be currently enrolled in a degree program..
 
Preferred Skills 
Analog Circuit Analysis, Soldering ad printed circuit board assembly experience, first rate authorship skills, coding in C and / or Python, coursework in the area of electromagnetics or radio systems engineering is a plus.
