The role reports to the R&D Team Manager and is located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Your responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation of Engineering controlled packaging documentation
  • Maintain the PAD (Packaging Attribute Database) to facilitate the use of existing packaging materials for ABB plants and suppliers by limiting carton duplication
  • Perform less complex engineering assignments associated with various engineering activities. -Monitor progress, comply with quality and schedule requirements, and maintain detailed logs and records
  • Use computer programs to perform various engineering operations, conduct analyses and provide related data and information. Compile and assimilate data from various sources, conduct relatively routine operations and tests, prepare reports and develop graphics for presentations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine problems and assist in resolving more complex issues

Your background:

  • Progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in engineering (ME or EE) with a minor in packaging, with at least 2 years completed
  • Experience using packaging design software
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • ArtiosCAD experience
  • PTC ProE/Creo CAD experience
  • Good communication skills, quick learner, self-motivated
