What You Will Do
The Quality department is searching for appropriate candidates to fill a 6-month full time position in our Internship Program. Working closely with Operations Departments throughout the winery, the intern’s essential functions are as follows: 
  • Support the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) program by reviewing and creating standard work documents. 
  • Provide support in one or more of the following areas: process design, continuous improvement. 
  • Develop documentation and continuous improvement through learning and implementing the Lean Six Sigma process. 
  • Work on teams to identify issues, collect appropriate supporting data, develop, and present improvement ideas, and implement solutions
  • Develop standardized work, time studies, equipment capability and repeatability studies

What You Will Need
  • High School diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate. 
  • Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering; OR a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering. 
  • Requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary. 
  • Available for the entire duration of this internship program – January 2023 through June 2023.
 
What Will Set You Apart
  • Junior or Senior class standing at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering. 
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001. 
  • Familiarity with statistical software. 
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods. 
  • Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and problem-solving skill.

Compensation:
  • Hiring Hourly Rate: $23-$26
  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
