Process Engineering Co-Op Overview

The Process Engineering department is responsible for enabling the execution of the process by bringing together robust process and equipment knowledge. At the Worcester site this involves significant involvement in new products that will drive AbbVie’s growth in the future.
 
Key responsibilities include:
 
The Process Engineering position will support the planning and execution of tasks reporting into the Process Engineering department. This role will support various areas of manufacturing with significant interaction with other cross functional groups/vendors. Expectations of the role may include:
  • Authoring/updating risk assessment documentation
  • Identifying/supporting/troubleshooting new equipment or system modifications
  • Involvement in new product introduction (NPI) tasks
  • Interaction with external vendors to support equipment repair or disposable(s) implementation
  • Data analysis to support process/equipment troubleshooting
 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in engineering or other related field
  • Must be returning to university the semester following your Co-Op
  • Must be able to commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, MA (January - July).

  • Ability to work cross functionally
