Summary
World Fuel Services company is seeking to fill a Business Analyst, Pricing Automation position. The ideal candidate will have solid communication and interpersonal skills, with an academic background in business administration, experience using Microsoft Office tools and strong attention to detail. The analyst will be working with the Pricing, Commercial Operations, IT, Finance Operations and Sales departments to execute daily pricing tasks to ensure timely and accurate pricing for customers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex pricing requests, root cause potential issues, identify automated solutions and monitor performance working directly with Sales and suppliers to ensure product structure is aligned to the needs of the Client.
  • Develop, automate and maintain pricing processes for each business line and strengthen alerts and warnings to proactively identify process gaps.
  • Identify pricing errors and/or opportunities of improvement throughout the pricing process that could result in margin opportunities work with Sales Management, Sales and Revenue Management to ensure opportunity is realized.
  • Manage large amount of data to solve and understand different pricing scenarios.
  • Create and align new pricing processes to support current and future operations needs based on stakeholders’ feedback and requests.
  • Produce and monitor key pricing metrics to measure current operation performance and identify potential issues impacting our business profitability.
  • Apply strong analytical skill set and commercial insight to comprehend the impact of pricing decisions.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management, Sales, and IT teams to develop best in practice pricing processes, reports, and tools to promote efficiency and visibility into pricing pipeline.
  • Train and mentor junior level pricing analysts to support professional development.
  • Provide training and market insights to Sales on an as needed basis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to root cause and solve price disputes and discrepancies that might result in credit and rebills.
  • Perform other duties as deemed by management.
Requirements, Competencies and Certifications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrable experience working with large datasets and using databases
  • Motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a commitment to delivering superior customer service. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to be a team player in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask.
  • Competency Microsoft Office Suite.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Data Science .
  • Prior work history in the fuel distribution business or similar
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, Python a,and Oracle is preferred. Experience in a data analytics and/or pricing role.
