In this Executive Leadership role you will be responsible for a broad range of administrative and program activities, including the execution and/or evaluation of program policies.

Desirable qualifications include:
  1. Demonstrated ability of past cooperative working relations with local, state, and Federal agencies, Native American tribes, the public, and other organizations concerning matters of protecting the cultural resources within California
  2. Broad and extensive experience in the development of an administrative framework and general policies for an agency or organization operating under federal and state regulations including the preparation of legal documents such as Public Records Act requests and legislative analyses.
  3.  Demonstrated managerial experience of fiscal and grant programs as well as management and supervision of federal and state programs similar to those housed in the Office of Historic Preservation (OHP) such as the Architectural Review, Local Government, Registration, Inventory Management, and Section 106/PRC 5024 Review and Compliance programs.
  4.  Willingness and ability to lead a multi-disciplinary professional and administrative team in a fast paced, changing environment of challenging issues; assisting the State Historical Resources Commission to ensure that Commission-related activities in compliance with the Public Resources Code and applicable federal law.
  5.  Demonstrated leadership qualities to carry out statewide public outreach, analyze outreach results, write, and produce the Statewide Plan for Historic Preservation in California.
