What I liked

The people were sociable and great coworkers and overtime opportunities were plentiful.

What I wish was different

Data Entry Clerk

June - August 2019 • Fort Worth, TX

What I liked

I loved the diversity and the ease of the job. It was very organized and structured with the flexibility of assisting in other positions. There was an opportunity for growth and learning.

What I wish was different

Management did not communicate well with employees, there was a lot of misdirection. Many complained of being undermined and belittled in the workplace. However, a meeting to mediate the issue did take place but I did not observe an obvious change.

Advice

It was great to garner more communication skills, and learn about others' cultures. I learned how to be more assertive, and stand up for those that need help finding their voice. The employees were of the kindest, and sweetests bunch of people I have ever met. Long-term friendships were formed. Just focus on your job, and be tolerant of others because you will be exposed to a lot of new things.

Global IT Mergers & Acquisitions Integration/Security Intern

June - August 2018 • Irvine, CA

What I liked

At Ingram Micro, I had the opportunity to work with an amazing team. All of the Integrations and Security team put aside time to teach me about the work they do and help with projects I was working on. I also got the chance to network with company executives, which included reverse mentoring the CIO and his global executives. I learned so much and had an amazing experience.

Data Analyst Intern

June - August 2018 • Irvine, CA

What I liked

I loved the employees enthusiasm and joy in their work no matter what job they had.

What I wish was different

I wish there was more for me to do since there was only one main project for me to work on other than some other side projects they found for me to do.

Advice

Definitely reach out if you have nothing to do. As an intern, it can be more work to give tasks rather than to just let you sit there. Asking coworkers if they need help or if there is another project that people could use assistance on definitely requires you to be proactive.

Information systems intern

May - August 2016 • Irvine, CA

What I liked

The other interns were friendly and nice

What I wish was different

They had nothing for us to do. We had no projects and didn't learn anything. I sat at my desk reading. I wish they had had a plan for Us and taught us things.

Advice

Make sure the company has a set plan for its interns.
