RS&H is a wonderful company, I am very thankful for the experience. If you have a chance, do an internship.

Mechanical Engineering Intern

What I liked
The atmosphere was amazing. All of the team members were extremely welcoming and helpful. I loved learning how to use different design/analysis programs, attending project meetings, and talking with other engineers about their favorite projects they have done in the past.
What I wish was different
I would not wish anything had been different. I did not know what to expect for my first internship, but overall the experience was amazing.
Advice
Be open to new experiences and talk to your mentor and other engineers there to figure out what you would like to do as a future career.

Civil Engineering Intern

What I liked
I loved being able to work on projects to support the aerospace industry. This was my first internship, but working with my first civil design team was an unforgettable experience. I learned so much in such a short amount of time.
What I wish was different
I wish it could've been longer! I miss it a lot.
Advice
Apply early and be as personable as possible. Having social & communication skills is just as valuable as having professional experience.

Bridge Design Intern

What I liked
The RS&H team was very helpful in getting me up to speed in an industry that I knew little about. The team was very interested in getting to know me and help me fully experience what it would be like to be a bridge engineer.
What I wish was different
The position being remote was the largest drawback. I wish I could have shared an office with my coworkers to be in a better environment to learn, however this was not the choice of the office either.
Advice
Be sure that the company you work for has your best interests in mind like RS&H. Your employer must realize that your success is the key to the company's success.
