What I liked

It gets me out of my comfort zone. I usually am not the one to talk to so many strangers and ask for their time, but this really puts me out there by talking and asking for more network connections.

What I wish was different

I'm not sure, it is not really in my field of interest so I guess I'm not critiquing it too much. It's a good part-time job for college students

Be prepared to be your most social self which might be draining but it is a good practice and experience.

You got to choose your schedule, that was nice. could also work all online if wanted.

What I wish was different

They really hound you 24/7 about the job and make you go to so many meetings that aren’t paid. I stopped working here because of this.

Advice

They say it takes up no time and it’s easy money, but it takes up a lot of time, and you only get paid when you find people to interview.

What I liked

I enjoyed the individuality, along with the support system in place. I've obviously never run a business before, and the necessary help was provided, but the company still allowed me to "be my own boss". It was a very strategic process throughout the whole summer, with plenty of meetings and individual support, but the experience as a whole was my own. I was able to work things out for the business, think for myself, and appreciate the success and praise that came with my results.

What I wish was different

Not much, but I do think the stress of the sales pushes could have been dealt with better. As a sales rep in a sales push, it's very emotional and draining. As a manager, I had to learn how to deal with and manage each persons' emotions on my sales team.

Advice

Get the early work done well and early. The territory research, paperwork, and recruiting work are bitter work, but if done at a high level and early on in the summer(or before it), you can get out to a fantastic lead.

What I liked

Offered many different learning experiences and growth of skills. Scheduling was up to them representative, which made working while traveling and over the summer much easier.

What I wish was different

I was looking for a more involved and communication-oriented management. At times I felt their was a lack of communication on the expectations and goals of the management. This lead to the feeling that I was not meeting expectations due to not being in the know about what was expected of me.

Advice

Ask more questions in the beginning to make sure it is the best job fit for you and what your needs are as a worker; do not be shy to ask questions and learn more about the company before accepting the offer. While it may seem like an easy, starter job make sure you know all the ins and outs.
