System Analytics Engineering Co-Op (FALL or SPRING)

The System Analytics group supports the broader business by providing consulting services to market leading manufacturers of consumer products and well as food and beverage. Projects could include designing packaging and warehouse systems, optimizing existing facilities, and advising capital investments. To do so, the System Analytics develops and customizes tools with elements such as forecasting, optimization, simulation, warehouse logistics, and data visualization.

Engineering Aide - System Analytics, Atlanta, GA (Co-op/Internship) An Engineering Aide in Haskell's System Analytics group, with the guidance and mentorship of senior members, will tackle a host of Industrial and Systems Engineering problems in a rapidly changing environment. Typical engagements last between 6-12 weeks, and an Engineering Aide must be able to effectively handle potentially 2-3 projects simultaneously. This unique experience will allow candidates to gain a wide-range of experience in several markets in a short amount of time. With visibility to VPs and higher in many Fortune 100 companies, this role will provide a unique and invaluable opportunity to leverage state-of-the-art tools for consulting services.

Job Responsibilities: 
  1. Learn and master simulation software packages
  2. Develop and maintain code to Haskell's standards
  3. Identify opportunities to leverage analytics to provide value
  4. Formulate and solve complex analytics problems
  5. Execute project work independently within budget and on schedule
  6. Compress, visualize, and communicate data driven results to customers
  7. Continue to develop technical and interpersonal skills

Requirements:
  1. Obtaining a BS in Industrial Engineering or related engineering degree
  2. Interests/Background in:
  • Simulation
  • Optimization
  • Forecasting
  • Logistics
  1. Possess strong skills with Microsoft Excel and data manipulation
  2. Ability to develop and maintain clean code (python, VBA, C#) within Haskell's standards
  3. Possess strong data visualization skills
  4. Ability to present complex ideas and results of analyses in a group setting
  5. Function, organize, and maintain project schedules independently
  6. Demonstrate good observation, listening, and communication skills
