Engineering Intern

The Engineering Intern will be responsible for completing assignments spanning engineering, quality and manufacturing. The Intern will be expected co complete tasks in a timely and professional manner, maintain a weekly journal of activity, and complete day-to-day tasks as assigned.
All employees have the responsibility to follow documented procedures, identify non-conforming products and identify and implement corrective actions. All employees are responsible for ensuring compliance of the Quality Management System, ISO 13485, FDA QSR, AIMDD as well as international and national regulations/directives, as applicable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complete projects under guidance of Engineers
  • Preparation of plans, schedules, work flows/charts, and task lists
  • Create specifications, drawings, schematics, and technical reports
  • Perform material testing, physical measurements, electrical measurements
  • Complete inspections and records ranging from prototype to finished goods
  • Execute manufacturing or inspection procedures

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Currently enrolled or have completed an engineering program
Appropriate mathematical skills for an engineering student
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
Working knowledge of Solidworks and technical drawings
Excellent report writing and ability to convey verbally or in writing
Desired knowledge of vector based art software (Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
