Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Senior Manufacturing Engineer


Wyatt Technology is looking for a remarkably productive person to support Manufacturing, R&D and Quality by performing root-cause analysis on PCB’s and electromechanical assemblies in production. This includes working with technicians, purchasing and quality and assisting with manufacturing’s day to day challenges.

Job Duties:
  • Resolve complex technical problems.
  • Champion elimination of rework and scrap in manufacturing process.
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify and implement changes to reduce cost and/or increase output.
  • Implement changes and improvements in machine tooling, gaging, and inspection methods to produce a higher quality product.
  • Optimizing equipment set-up, change-overs, running, and Up Time.
  • Promoting and implementing Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Work with R&D and Production technicians to create Manufacturing instructions that details all of the necessary steps to build and inspect subassemblies and finished products.
  • Create DCO (document change orders) to release updated documentation.
  • Help train new employees on WTC documentation and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Required skills and qualifications:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Industrial Technology, Statistics or equivalent job training.
  • Minimum 5 years working with electromechanical assemblies.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of fabrication methods include machining, sheet metal, and PCB fabrication and assembly.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
