Position:               Brindley Pieters & Associates, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student for the position of Transportation Engineering Internship. This position is compensated in the amount of $1,200 per Trimester.    
 
Requirements:      Minimum Junior Year Student in Construction Management or Civil Engineering with a 3.0 GPA.
 
Responsibilities:   The Transportation Intern, under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, will be responsible for overseeing the operations and maintenance (O&M) of the MIA Mover at Miami International Airport (MIA). The MIA Mover is an automated people mover (APM) connecting the main terminal to the rental car center (RCC). The Intern will be responsible for performing O&M inspections twice a week. During each inspection, the Intern will verify various performance measures of the APM and complete a report to be submitted to the Engineer. Each inspection will last approximately 2 hours. Brindley Pieters & Associates, Inc.  understands the requirements of a rigorous engineering curriculum and is sensitive to the demands placed on our Interns. Therefore, the Intern will have the latitude to create his/her own schedule. However, once he/she sets the schedule they will be expected to keep it.
