Avionics Integration Engineer (Entry-level) - AER0000OT

Jacobs is seeking an Avionics Integration Engineer to join the Jacobs Space Exploration Group (JSEG) at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. This work will be in support of the NASA Space Launch system as well as other current and future NASA programs or projects in the Electrical Integration and Power Subsystems Branch (ES44) at MSFC. 
The successful candidate will provide electrical integration support which may include electrical design, integration, avionics, systems, and insight engineering support for the research, design, development, analysis, and testing of electrical systems to include:
  • Space transportation systems
  • Scientific instruments
  • Ground support equipment
  • Special test equipment
  • Interfaces
  • Power distribution
  • Component, hardware, and system verification
  • Grounding equipment
  • Electrical Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

Qualifications:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Science from an ABET-accredited university is required. Applicant must possess effective communication skills and a thorough knowledge of all Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
 
Desired:
  • Familiarization with cable assembly drawings, electrical schematics, grounding diagrams and cable interconnect diagrams 
  • Electrical engineering and/or physics skills with electrical integration background, including cable harness design, voltage drop analysis, and circuit protection analysis  
 
Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
