Event & Brand Management Unpaid Internship

Job Description:
Assist in a high paced environment. You will be working to support a multitude of events, ranging from Music festivals, brand launches, Art Basel, SBWFF, etc.
You will experience in how to create and execute events from the ground up.
 
Some Duties include:
  • Assist with all aspects of event planning from finding venues, caterers, décor, entertainment
  • Working onsite for event coordination
  • Event Research
  • Assist in staffing
  • Light Data Entry 
 
Requirements:
  • Must need school credit
  • Able to work out of our Wynwood office 2 - 3 days per week, totaling 20 hours per week.
  • Hospitality or event planning major
  • Outgoing and comfortable speaking in front of crowds
  • Creative and out of the box thinker
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Home computer and internet
  • Must be very comfortable doing research and working independently
  • Organized
  • Detail Oriented
  • Punctual
  • Available some nights and weekends
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excited to learn about the event planning industry!

Learnings:
  • Students work directly with company owner and event managers.
  • Students will learn how to research event vendors such as photographers, DJs, venues, caterers as well.
  • Students will attend event meetings, walktlhoughts as well as be present onsite for event set up, event day and breakdown.
  • Students will assist in creating budgets, production schedules and event timelines.
  • Students will learn how to request proposals from vendors for events.
  • Students will learn how to create event proposals.
  • Students will learn and be emerged in real life event planning and management and problem solving.


Internship Outcome:
The student will learn a comprehensive knowledge of the details involved in planning and
designing a corporate/social event, including the management of resources, budgets and timeline.

This is an unpaid internship position for school credit and can be for as long as you would like to stay on, most of my interns become part time and then full time.
