Systems Engineer
In this role, you have the opportunity to
Design hardware and software subsystems for specific customer applications while working with an experienced engineering team.
You are responsible for
- Working in pre-sales environments to identify critical needs with system features and performance issues.
- Mapping customer specifications to system design requirements. Analyzes system performance and identifies risks.
- Flow system level requirements down to detailed RF, Digital and Software specifications.
- Consults with customer on technical issues and technical presentations.
- Serve as the main technical contact for projects.
- Understand the main concepts and applications associated with specific specialized company product design.
- Responsible for providing an accurate assessment of the scope of work for projects and accurate assessments of progress.
- Understands and addresses cost, schedule and performance impacts and provides trade-offs for programs decisions.
You are a part of
Mercury's system engineering team that is focused on signal processing, EO/IR, and RF system solutions. The systems engineer candidate will be expected to a lead role that will drive the design, development and delivery of system solutions to our customers.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
- BS Degree in Math, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; Master's Degree preferred
- Design experience in radar, communications, or EW programs.
- Experience in the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various products and services
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to a variety of audiences.
