POSITION: Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern
POSITION SUMMARY:
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for an engineering internship in our West Palm Beach, FL office. This on-the-job experience will support the firm’s water and wastewater groups with the design and construction of a variety of facilities, and offer the opportunity to work directly with our firm clients. A variety of responsibilities and duties will provide a well-rounded background in engineering.
POSITION DUTIES:
- Assisting senior engineers with the evaluation, study and design of water and wastewater treatment plants, potable water and wastewater pipelines and pumping stations.
- Field work, studies and design of water and wastewater system rehabilitation.
- Water and wastewater systems hydraulic modeling computation and analysis.
- Construction work including quantity computation, construction layout, survey and construction inspection.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ongoing pursuit of a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering.
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
- Available to start May 2019.
- Ability to travel throughout Palm Beach County, Broward County, Martin County and Monroe County areas (own transportation).
- Work in a team environment.
- Strong written, verbal, computer and organizational skills.
