Structural Engineer Intern

We are accepting applications for our 2019 internship program until February 15, 2019. Interviews with potential candidates will be conducted from February 16, 2019 to March 1, 2019. We will make our selection by mid-March, 2019 for the summer internships. This is a paid internship and you will receive an hourly wage. Hours are typically a normal 40 hour work week, Monday-Friday. We will also pay a lump sum for your travel and lodging to FINLEY’s office, if you will be away from your hometown. Proof of health insurance is required.

Minimum Requirements for Structural Engineer Intern: Minimum Bachelor’s degree, working on a Master’s degree or a civil engineering senior level student with a strong background in structural/bridge engineering analysis and design. Must have a basic familiarity with structural codes of practice, e.g., ACI, AISC, and AASHTO. Candidate must be comfortable using basic design software and tools. The position requires good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to perform technical writing and report compilation.. Knowledge of MSOffice (required), and AutoCADD preferred. A minimum GPA of 3.00 is required. 

Job Description: The successful structural engineer intern candidate will work with experienced engineers and project managers to perform engineering functions, design calculations, and drawing production & visualizations on bridges and other structures.
