Internship - Contract & Purchasing Junior Engineer
Since March 2018 Fincantieri has established Fincantieri Services US, a wholly owned subsidiary, based in Miami, Florida. The Company is the front office in the United States for all the after-sale services on cruise ships of the Group, which include all the activities related to the life cycle management of the vessels as well as repairs and refitting.
Fincantieri Services USA is currently seeking a motivated and customer oriented junior engineer candidate to join its team supporting the Contract Manager, having the chance to improve and develop his own abilities in sales and purchasing fields.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The intern will support the following activities:
- Preparing offers and planning activities;
- Manage relationships with Customers and Suppliers;
- Expediting activity and services;
- Cost analysis;
- Accounting/Invoicing.
REQUIREMENTS
To perform the job position successfully, Master’s degree is required in either Naval, Mechanical, Management or Industrial Engineering.
The following skills are also recommended:
- Good communication and negotiation skills;
- Team working attitude;
- Positive attitude, proactivity, flexibility and problem solving ability;
- IT proficiency with excellent knowledge of Excel and Power Point programs;
- Motivation in shipbuilding industry;
- Italian knowledge is a plus.
CONDITIONS
The internship has hiring purpose after an evaluation period of six months.
