Navigation Systems Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of navigation algorithms and software for space and ground systems. Additional responsibilities will include development of requirements and definition of software interfaces. The individual will work as a part of an Integrated Product Team, guiding the successful completion of major programs. The Navigation Systems Engineer will apply related knowledge of software and hardware to integrated Inertial Navigation System (INS) / Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation products. The engineer will be involved in the design, analysis, integration, and test of INS/GPS subsystems for missile applications.

Key Responsibilities:
·   Develop and implement space-borne and ground system navigation algorithms and flight software
·   Analyze navigation performance in simulation, laboratory, and flight testing
·   Resolve navigation system anomalies observed in simulation or test environments

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in an STEM discipline (Engineering - Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Math, Physics) from an accredited university
  • 5+ years related experience
  • Understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, propagation, and receiver performance
  • Experience with GPS systems/INS Systems and geolocation techniques and algorithms
  • Knowledge of GPS receivers, standard user host interfaces, Kalman filters, covariance analysis, or tracking loops
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thorough understanding of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) principles
  • Experience designing and developing Software Defined Radios (SDR)
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
