Software Engineering Intern

As an Engineering intern, you will work on our core Search Engine Marketing Platform (airSEM) and our Data Analytics Tracking System. Depending on your background and experience, you will be working in Performance Marketing Management or Data Analytics.
Performance Marketing Management - Frontend Development Intern
As a Frontend Development Intern on the Performance Marketing Management team you will be following along our product life cycle starting from creating Mockups in Sketch, rapid prototyping, creating reusable components in AngularJS, creating client side services to connect to our airSEM microservices, and take any feedback from our beta clients to create a better user experience.
Data analytics - Frontend tracking development intern
As a frontend tracking development intern on the data analytics team, you will be learning how to implement tracking on the frontend across all our clients using Javascript and Mongodb while following our product tracking process including QA process. You will learn how to write various tests using Jest and learn about reactive testing in Javascript with Sumologic.
What you will learn in 3 Months:
- Learn how to write tests (Unit tests & integration tests)
- Learn how to write clean and reusable code
- Learn how to work in an agile development environment
- Contribute to a product through the Product Development Life Cycle
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be an undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field at a university in North America.
- Programming experience in one or more of the following technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, React, Node.js, MongoDB
- First-year students must have taken one college level Computer Science course by end of first semester.
- Students must be available for a full-time 12-week internship from May 2019 to August 2019 or June 2019 to September 2019.
Preferred Qualifications
- Students should have taken at least two Computer Science courses.
- Bilingual
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Prototyping and Mockup creating experience using Sketch
- Comfortable working with new software tools – not afraid of new technology
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with code versioning tools (Git)
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving
