RF Engineer

In this role you have the opportunity to
 
Perform professional Radio Frequency Engineering assignments of wide complexity under general direction with considerable discretion as to work details. Responsible for providing support and guidance for the development of automated methods for sub-system testing. Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
 
 Support the design and development of complex RF/microwave products.
 Perform electronic circuit simulation, optimization, and analysis using a variety of CAD tools, with more senior engineering supervision and support
 Troubleshoot, characterize, and test prototype and initial production assemblies.
 Preparation of documentation required for presentation at design reviews, etc.
 Support Manufacturing Engineering to transition newly developed products into full production.
 Support Manufacturing Engineering to resolve engineering related production issues when they arise.
 Support Operation with troubleshooting, tuning and testing of production products, as needed
 Learn complex microwave component troubleshooting, tuning, and testing techniques quickly, and apply these learned skills in a production test environment
 Complete all assigned tasks on-schedule and within budget
 Perform all assignments with high level of business integrity
 Other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
 Knowledge of basic RF/microwave electronics concepts and tools such as S-Parameters, Smith Chart, and electromagnetic theory
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software tools
 Basic understanding of how to utilize electronic test instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, power meters, and spectrum analyzers
 Ability to learn how to design, simulate, analyze and develop complex multi-function RF/microwave assemblies
 Ability to learn how to use microwave circuit design CAD tools such as Microwave Office and HFSS
 Good verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to read schematic diagrams
 Creative problem solving skills
 BS in Electrical Engineering
 1 year of applicable RF/microwave design and/or test experience is desirable
