Project Manager

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) has been developing innovative technologies and solutions for cutting-edge DoD and intelligence programs for almost six decades. Our expertise is in space and airborne IR, VIS, UV, and RF sensors, small satellite technologies, test and calibration, cybersecurity, data visualization and assurance, and ground stations.

SDL is seeking applicants for a project manager. A background in software and/or ground station development and delivery is highly desired. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the management of day-to-day activities for technical programs for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4IS&R) customers. A program manager is someone who has been delegated responsibility for delivering on contracts by:
·  Understanding a customer’s needs and issues
·  Trading issues of scope, approach, cost, and schedule
·  Managing daily activities of a mixed discipline engineering team
He/she shall be willing to work as part of a larger team with developers, testers, engineers, managers, and support personnel. 

Required Qualifications:
·  BS degree in related technical or business area
·  Demonstrated supervisory experience
·  Proficiency in task management
·  Develop program schedules and control budgets to meet required deadlines
·  Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while making direct contributions to team success
·  Strong verbal and written communication skills
·  Up-to-date computer skills
·  Willing to travel
·  Ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship required)
