Junior Project Manager

We are seeking a candidate whom is driven, passionate, and energetic. The ideal candidate does have some construction experience and possesses a "done is done" mentality. The successful Junior Project Manager will report to the Project Manager and will aid in the overall supervision of subcontractors and trades people. She/he will also not shy away from getting her/his hands dirty.
Basic Qualifications:
The Junior Project Manager coordinates all site construction activities. She/he supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete construction projects on schedule and within budget. This includes but is not limited to maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, and administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities. She/he also maintains the job site, communicates with clients, and closes out projects with high levels of client satisfaction. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency are required for this role.
Specific responsibilities under the direction of the Project Manager:
  • Coordinates and supervises all construction activities;
  • Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications;
  • Maintains construction schedule while identifying and solving problems;
  • Orders materials, establishes cost estimates, and fiscally manages project cost. Reviews and manages costs to meet budget;
  • Obtains necessary permits and schedules inspections as necessary throughout the construction process;
  • Understands the project plans, specifications, and selections; reviews project details to ensure proper selections are installed;
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other employees;
  • Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch list;
  • Promotes job-site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately;
  • Maintains an organized, clean job-site;
  • Inspects subcontractor work to ensure quality, defect-free construction. Provides advice and direction to subcontractors to maintain efficiency and proper construction procedures.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 4 year degree required.
  • 1 year of successful residential construction experience preferred but not required.
  • Experienced in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of residential construction.
  • Experienced in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
