An engineering or construction management degree or 5-years minimum construction experience with a strong mechanical aptitude and proved leadership ability required. The Field Engineer position is a customer interactive, hands-on, full emersion learning opportunity including in-house and field training and development in the areas of design process, budgeting process, Building Information Management (BIM), Plumbing & HVAC technical competencies, building codes, and so much more! All this experience prepares you to take on leadership opportunities.
The R.T. Moore Field Engineer serves as a liaison between office and field operations; providing communication and support that includes technical expertise, material management, and execution of project design to meet or exceed the production budget.

Here’s what you can expect in the way of specific job responsibilities:

·       Efficiently manage multiple, ongoing projects simultaneously.
·       Translate digital design into physical installation for field personnel
·       Create and Submit weekly reports per project assigned.
·       Establish control points and lay out all under-slab, sleeve, and in-bed locations in a timely manner
·       Identify conflicts affecting installation per job design
·       Identify possible delays due to site conditions/design and help resolve any coordination issues
·       Handle all RFI’s (internal and external) as related to each project
·       Be involved in equipment starting and testing
·       Maintain “As-Built” drawings
·       Review truss, panel, and structural overlays and shop drawings to ensure no conflicts with design; escalate all potential conflicts and help drive to resolution.
·       Generate all equipment schedules with all applicable options. Communicate equipment schedules to builder, architect, engineer, and other trades as required.
·       Create isometrics and detail views required for accurate installation.
·       Verify DWV and water sizing.
·       Manage submittals to ensure approval; communicate and manage any changes to ensure alignment.
·       Attend and actively participate in all BIM meetings; develop adjustments in design as required utilizing appropriate software and design tools.
·       Perform regular verification of install per design; escalate non-conformance to project managers.
·       Facilitate modifications to address other trade conflicts.
·       Represent RT Moore and the RT Moore brand professionally
·       Any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you need to have the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities:
·       4 year Bachelor’s degree in BCM, ME, or Construction Engineering or 5+ years of construction experience with Strom MEP aptitude and proven leadership ability.
·       Competent in MS Office programs. MS Project experience is a plus.
·       Basic knowledge or BIM related platforms such as AutoCAD, Revit, etc.
·       Strong math, science, and computer skills
·       Aptitude for applying science and engineering methods to solve problems
