Campus Facilities Planner

Job Description:

The Campus Facilities Planner serves as Campus Liaison to the College’s Vice Provost for Facilities Management as well as a liaison with project architects and engineers, District Facilities Planning, District Facilities Maintenance Operations, District Facilities Architectural/Engineering Planning, Design and Construction, Campus Services staff, Campus Administration, and Campus personnel affected by facilities projects. This position is on-call for all facilities questions and/or problems that may arise while projects are under construction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Monitors the condition of all campus facilities (exterior & interior) and related campus site features and structures; documents and reports safety to life issues, deficiencies in facilities infrastructure systems, cleanliness, appearance, aesthetics and interior décor and follows up to ensure all documented concerns are addressed/corrected  
•Facilitates planning and project administration on all campus capital outlay renovation, remodeling and new construction projects
•Develops, coordinates and maintains the campus capital outlay priority lists, status reports, space utilization and inventory reports
•Reviews, analyzes, and assists in the evaluation of issues pertaining to new and existing facility maintenance, renovations and construction projects
•Responsible for Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment budgeting, procurement and installation on all capital outlay projects, recommends purchase of new and maintains the inventory of existing furniture

Minimum Requirements: 

•Bachelor’s degree form accredited college in Architecture, Facilities Management, Construction Management or related field and five (5) years experience
•All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
•Must be on-call for all facilities questions and/or problems that may arise while projects are under construction
•General knowledge of local and state building codes and ADA requirements
•Knowledge of office and classroom layout, remodeling and renovation
