Design Engineering Intern
SUMMARY:
Qorvo is looking for a student to work as a microwave design engineering intern during the Summer of 2020. The student will be tasked with activities related to single and/or multichip GaN and/or GaAs module and/or MMIC design and characterization. Scope of work will depend heavily on the candidate’s experience level and skill set.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform linear, non-linear, and electromagnetic (EM) circuit simulations using a combination of commercially available tools.
Prepare and present design review(s) to peers summarizing work/results.
Measure and analyze RF performance of modules and/or MMICs in the engineering lab.
PCB/EVB design for microwave module and /or MMIC fixturing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate shall be currently enrolled in an accredited program seeking an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with focus on RF/Microwave circuit design.
Student must have completed some relevant analog/RF circuit design course work.
Candidate shall be proficient with either ADS or MWO CAD simulation software.
Candidate shall be familiar with a planar 3D EM solver (Sonnet, Momentum, Axiem).
Self-Starter with good communication skills.
Must have a 3.3 GPA or higher.
