Oelrich Construction’s Summer Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience. The 12 week program rotates students through two specific phases of construction management.



FIELD LOGISTICS

Our Superintendents and Field Engineers carry out the daily operations of actual jobsite logistics. They are responsible for systematically ensuring that each step of the physical building process is carried out safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget. They are on the frontlines of stakeholder coordination and quality control. You will learn how to work with multiple trade subcontractors to maintain a successful jobsite and deliver a high-quality product.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Our Project Managers and Project Engineers oversee jobsite permitting, documentation, scheduling, billing, logistics, and closeout to ensure that each project achieves our client’s objectives. They lead regular communications with the client, architect, engineer, trade subcontractors, and authorities having jurisdiction. You will learn the processes required to successfully operate multiple construction projects with diverse needs.

The goal of our program is to provide an immersive experience that allows students to apply their educational knowledge to field scenarios and grow professionally After successful completion of the summer rotation, students will have a general understanding of construction management operations at Oelrich. Interns that demonstrate an exceptional dedication, aptitude and a passion for working in the profession may be selected to continue the program into the fall and spring semesters. Upon graduation, many individuals that have provided outstanding services are offered full time employment.
