Water Resources Engineer - Water + Environment Market

Our water + environment team develops technical and strategic solutions that keep the community healthy and resilient—with a right-sized, responsive approach.

Responsibilities:
  • Support senior engineers by performing specific and limited portions of their more broad assignments.
  • Provide support for design projects including collection, pumping and treatment systems, environmental compliance, permitting, water / wastewater utilities, drainage systems and earthworks for airport, municipal and industrial entities.
  • Interpreting/applying/auditing against environmental and transportation regulations including: RCRA, CERCLA, CWA, CAA, SPCC, TSCA, DOT (hazmat transport)
  • Perform design calculations, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work.
  • Assist in the design and production of engineering drawings and specifications for delivery of projects.
  • Check, interpret and revise engineering drawings. Plan and conduct code research. Research design options and document findings. Coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Assist with Project Managers tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or like degree with relevant experience is required.
  • 1-4 years' experience in environmental/water resources engineering consulting for local government/municipal or industrial clients.
  • Proven understanding and knowledge of CAD for production.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and potential application to clients’ needs required.
  • Proven experience in developing project plans and anticipating and addressing project issues.
