Color Marketing & Development Intern Spring/Summer 2020

Job Summary:
Your Internship search stops here! In this exciting internship opportunity, you will support our Color & Design team by taking an active role in the creation of creative assets that will support our Color Trends 2021 campaign, particularly social media content and elements for Benjamin Moore.com. You will also have the chance to participate in projects and other tasks that include but are not limited to:
  • Handle resizing and watermarking Color Trends 2021 images.
  • Support the team in Color Trends video development and PowerPoint presentation building.
  • Play a supportive role in development of general color content for social media (particularly Instagram and Pinterest).
  • Take part in researching color and design information to support work done by the Color Marketing & Development team.
  • Brainstorming/concept development sessions.
  • Ordering and refilling color sheets.
  • Maintaining an inventory of color tools.
  • Planning and organizing color collection archives.
  • Create a database of images, colors and finishes used in our color collateral for easy reference, used by the Color & Design team while working with other groups such as Digital and Public Relations.
  • Assisting in compiling images that will be used for our Color Trends launch.
  • Categorize images from research, bringing content into a presentation format that can be used as part of our campaign activation.
  • Provide support for color work including color chip layouts, helping the team develop color combinations.
  • You may also participate in the ordering and refilling of color sheets.
  • Attending staff meetings, as necessary.

Required Skills:
  • The preferred candidate is a college student pursing a degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Interior Design, Art, Art History or a related area of study.
  • Demonstrated graphic design skills - portfolio required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Experience in video editing software is a plus.
  • Proficient working on both Mac and PC.
  • Experience working with color.
  • Knowledge of social media trends and techniques for engagement.
  • Strong research skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Organized, curious, enthusiastic.
  • Ability to multi task and work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team.
