Salary: Depends on Experience

Provide avionics system integration and electrical design experience and using Computer Aided Design application such as AutoCAD 2014, Inventor and Solidworks in order to generate, modify and revise engineering drawings in support of on aircraft electrical modification for various avionics systems integration design with minimum direction from engineer

Partial Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with engineers for specific design requirement and understand the requirement for the tasks
• Design system interface based on the OEM installation manual and use available CAD application to generate the interface engineering drawing (wiring diagram)
• Design electrical wire harnesses assembly and RF coaxial cable assembly using available CAD application to generate the engineering drawing
• Design on aircraft electrical installation for the wire harnesses, RF coaxial cable assemblies, electrical/electronic components using available CAD application to generate the installation engineering drawing

• Local hire preferred
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Three years of experience in aircraft avionics system integration and electrical wire harnesses design is required
• Three years of experience with AutoCAD 2000 (or later revision) application
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and SolidworksKnowledge of Adobe Acrobat application for creating PDF
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5
• Familiarity with military, SAE, NAS, material and electrical components, as well as electronic component standards
• Ability to generate engineering drawings with minimum direction from engineer
• In adhering to company polices, all employees are subject to pre-hire and random drug and alcohol tests

Working Conditions
The Avionics System Designer works within normal shift hours (8AM to 5PM). Additional hours may be required for the position.
While most time is spent in a professional office environment involving long hours of seated work, the Avionics System Designer must be able to crawl in an aircraft and take photos of some specific areas for design purposes.
