Systems Designer I
Position Overview:
Entry-level Systems Designer I position at a design, engineering, and consulting firm specializing in physical security systems, access control solutions, network infrastructure, data communications, audio/visual systems, and integrated door openings.
Duties:
Assist in the development of detailed engineering design construction documents including BIM modeling and 3D design tools (AutoCAD, REVIT).
Support the generation of technical engineering specifications utilizing industry standards, building codes & regulations, processes, and procedures.
Assist in project requirement documentation with client subject matter experts (SMEs) for design solutions and product requirements.
Apply internal QA/QC standards to project related documents.
Required Experience:
No work experience required. (Entry-Level Position)
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, systems engineering, telecommunications, or similar 4-year degree.
Ability to obtain advanced degree/certifications (i.e. PE, RCDD) through employer-sponsored continuing education program.
Required Abilities:
Basic knowledge of engineering documentation for construction tools (AutoCAD, Revit).
Ability to write, review, and maintain construction level specifications.
Proficient organizational, planning, and time management skills.
Detailed-oriented and adept change management skills.
Ability to work on multiple assignments during continuing project lifecycles.
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
