SoFIA Social Media Intern

SoFIA (South Florida Institute on Agin) is looking for a highly motivated, very-driven, and passionate Social Media Intern. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a great attitude who is looking to contribute to the growth of our agency through social media. This social media intern will contribute to making engaging content while telling the story of our company and the products we produce. To thrive in this role you will need to be able to work well independently while having strong communication skills - both verbally and written, and be an organized forward-thinker. The right candidate will be very creative and is willing to bring his or her creativity and ideas to the table.

Responsibilities:
· Grow online social networks by increasing and managing engagement across all social platforms.
· Perform research to find articles, stories, resources or other content that is relevant photos, video or other content from activities and events.
· Maintain an up-to-date presence in order to INCREASE readers and GROW a following.
· Collaborate across internal cross-functional teams to write, proofread, and format materials.
· Track business trends and spot opportunities to target potential client partners across a variety of industries based on consumer activity on social platforms.
· VERY strong writing skills with the ability to write engaging content for various audiences.

Requirements:
· Creative self-starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in collaboration.
· Openness to learn, willingness to try anything, strong communication/writing skills and out of the box thinking to promote product in a unique and creative way.
· Familiarity with main-stream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
· Superior communication and interpersonal skills
· Entrepreneurial spirit with thirst to be a part of a great opportunity.
· Experience with basic photo editing and video editing, is not necessary but it is a plus!

This is an unpaid internship to start but can become a paid internship starting August 1, 2020. We offer a flexible, work from home schedule with a commitment of 5-10 hours per week. Candidates can receive college credit for the internship.
