Project Manager Intern

As an Intern, you will be expected to work up to 20 hours per week and will be supervised closely by the Executive Project Coordinator.
This position is responsible for performing basic duties of limited scope in one or more of the following areas: the estimating function; construction design (design-build), or in support of project manager on a construction project. In this position you will:
  • Interact and communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers;
  • Assists PM with all aspects of Project Management. May be given primary responsibility for a variety of Project Management duties;
  • Assists with Submittal Management. Coordinate with Subcontractors, Architects and Owners to facilitate timely review and processing of submittals;
  • Assists in identifying long lead times and ensures timely processing of submittals to facilitate the delivery of materials to jobsite in order to meet Project Schedule;
  • Assists with Change Order Management. Under the supervision of PM, responsible for procurement and management of Change Order Request (COR) process;
  • Assists with maintenance of all required business-related records and logs. Is organizationally responsible for timely and appropriate physical record-keeping;
  • Assists with taking weekly project progress photos;
  • Assists with Document Control. Assists PM in ensuring that office and field documents are updated. Updates project documents;
  • Assists with Punch List Management. Assists PM with development and timely execution of the project punch list;
  • Assists with Closeout documents. Coordinate timely assembly of all required project closeout documents including Warranties, Owners and Maintenance Manuals, As-built drawing, etc;
  • Assists the Accounting Department with processing of subcontractor billings and owner invoices;
